This was a bit of a challenge, because the quartz crystals were milky but not completely opaque and transparency isn't the best thing for the process. Also they were quite reflective which is generally a huge issue for photogrammetry. I've used polarizing filter to keep the reflections down. It wasn't cross-polarization setup which would be even better, but it worked good enough so that the further postproduction with Adobe Lightroom pretty much eliminated the problem.
Shading the object required more than just diffuse map, as in reality the crystal was a bit milky/transparent with some reflective surfaces. I created several maps to simulate its physical attributes.
